Planned maintenance

MHT London is committed to ensuring your home is maintained to the highest standards by carrying out regular repairs and improvements.

In the 2008/09 financial year MHT London will be reinvesting over £16m of the money it receives in rent payments to carry out planned maintenance works to our properties.

In addition to the regular statutory requirements which the money is spent on, such as gas servicing and electrical checks, in 2008/09:-

  • 3,000 homes will be redecorated (external and communal areas)
  • 300 new kitchens and 200 new bathrooms will be installed
  • 250 homes will be rewired
  • 100 homes will have major aids and adaptation works
  • 400 homes will receive boiler and heating renewals and upgrades
  • 20 homes will receive new windows
  • 60 homes will receive major refurbishment

Our planned maintenance team will contact you if you are due to have any of the above works carried out during this financial year. If you have any queries regarding planned maintenance to your home please contact Customer Services.

Cyclical Improvements

Some recurring items of property maintenance will be undertaken on regular cycles, e.g. the external decoration of a property. We will also look at making continual improvements to properties or blocks including installing entry doors to increase security.
