Meet our Management Team
Neil Mawson, Managing Director
Neil has vast experience in the social housing sector spanning nearly 30 years. Since joining MHP in 1998, Neil has overseen the merger of north and sorth Thames into MHT London. In April 2005 he was appointed as the Chair of MHP's Housing Services Directors Group responsible for improving all of MHP's core management and maintenance services.
After graduating with a Bsc (Hons) in Social Policy, Neil started his working life as a Trainee Assistant Area Housing Officer for Kensington Housing Trust moving on to become a Development and Maintenance Manager.
After 17 years with Kensington HT, Neil joined LB Hackney to run the Comprehensive Estates Initiative (CEI) - the country's leading estate regeneration programme. Before joining MHP, Neil was the Head of ERCF Programmes and the Housing Regeneration Section, LB Hackney.
Scott Black, Housing Operations Director
Scott joined MHT North Thames as Assistant Director for HousingServices in 2004. With nearly 20 years experience in housing, Scott has previously worked for Genesis Housing Group and Harding Housing Association (Lambeth). He has delivered a number of reorganisations and worked on Estate Services, Resident Involvement and Leasehold Services. At MHT, Scott has chaired the Assistant Directors' Group.
Most recently, Scott has developing a structure for Housing Services for MHT London and is responsible for the management and delivery of housing services across MHT London to ensure our customers receive efficient, value for money services.
Phyllida Culpin, Regeneration Director
Phyllida has been with MHT for 10 years and successfully led the regeneration for Green Horizons in Edmonton, a £100 million refurbishment and new build programme. She moved on to the position of Assistant Director of Regeneration at MHT North Thames and was responsible for regeneration and community investment.
As the new MHT London Regeneration Director, Phyllida will be responsible for Regeneration and community investment projects across London, ensuring our residents have the opportunity to engage and get involved in the areas in which they live.
James Warne, Director of Asset Management
James joined MHT in 1994 as Regional Maintenance Manager for the then North West Region in Wembley. After the merger of North and West London, he took on the responsibility of the maintenance services across the region and was soon heading up Property Services for MHT North Thames.
James is heading up Property Services at MHT London and is responsible for increasing efficiencies and service standards across the business, benefiting both our staff and residents.
He has a wealth of property management experience, over 20 years, in both the public and private sector and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
