The MHP Single Equality Scheme entitled ‘All Together Different’ sets out the Partnership approach, objectives and actions in respect of equality and diversity for the next three years. It details how MHP will further embed equality and diversity into everything that we do.
As a combined equality scheme it has been developed in order to comply with the legislation and best practice. It informed by the desire to ‘level up’ and meet, the highest standard set across all the strands of equality or ‘protected characteristics’.
The Scheme is now the primary equality and diversity document, and supersedes the existing Equality and Diversity Strategy and Action Plan (2009/12), the Equality and Diversity Policy and the Equality Schemes. It will be accompanied by a SMART action plan that will identify colleagues with particular responsibilities.
The Scheme was developed in consultation with resident and service user groups, their representatives, staff, Board members and other stakeholders. The comments received and subsequent changes to the approach taken in the SES have been recorded and are available for contributors to view.
For more information on the Scheme, please contact MHP’s Diversity Strategy Manager, Mark Harrison.
