Equality and diversity
MHP values diversity and promotes a culture where differences between people are respected and celebrated. We deal with people as individuals, whilst recognising that many people share common experiences based on their background. Our success and growth has been a result of our ability to respond as a diverse organisation to the increasing diverse needs of local people. Diversity is not merely about colour, gender or disability as it encompasses religion, age and sexual orientation.
We appreciate that to continually improve and develop key frontline services, we need to develop a two-way relationship with you. MHP is committed to providing all communities with an opportunity to engage with the development of our services, and be consulted about decisions which may affect our services. We aim to provide information in a format that is accessible for our residents. This may involve translated communication or formats that are developed for those who are elderly, have mental or physical disabilities or that take into account religious considerations.
MHT London is committed to continuing to work to ensure that barriers to participation and involvement faced by some communities are removed, and we assess our performance annually. Resident associations are central to our work and we support the development of new and existing bodies that place diversity and social inclusion at their core.
